The Pokemon Detective Pikachu A sequel could have found its director and screenwriter. According to a new report, Jonathan Krisel, best known for co-creation Portlandnegotiates directly.
DeadlineThe report also states that Chris Galletta is ready to write the screenplay for the film. Galletta’s most notable work is writing the 2013 film by Jordan Vogt-Roberts The kings of summer. Krisel has also directed, created or produced shows such as Kroll Show, Man Seeking Woman, Coriaand Tim and Eric great show, great job!, to name a few. Krisel and Galletta were not involved in the original 2019 film.
This news contradicts the original pre-release report of the film. The Hollywood reports was noticed in January 2019 that 22 Jump Street writer Oren Uziel was ready to write the script. Polygon reported that Uziel was no longer involved with the project in Februaryreport, in which Legendary Entertainment also reiterated that the film was still going ahead despite the long silence. Detective Pikachu also stars Justice Smith said in 2021 that he wasn’t sure the sequel would happen.

Jonathan Murphy, Posted on LinkedIn that he had been working on Detective Pikachu 2 and stated that it was “closer to publication”. He has since removed the soon-to-be-released part of it, but the post is still up.
