Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are getting even bigger. The Pokémon Company announced that the two titles will receive two expansions: The Hidden Treasure of Ground Zero Part 1: Teal Mask and Volume 2: The Indigo Disc. The former is planned for fall 2023 and the latter as early as winter 2023. They are bundled together for $34.99.

Teal mask takes players from the Paldea region to a new location called Kitakami. Players will meet new characters and Pokémon in Kitakami as they try to unravel the mysteries behind local folklore. This first episode introduces the trainers to three new creatures that used to protect the land. They are Okidogi, Munkidori and Fezandipiti as shown in the picture above.

Indigo discAt the same time, take the players to the Blueberry Academy under the sea, as shown in the key image above. Upon becoming an exchange student, players learn the curriculum of this school, which specializes in combat. However, the Pokémon Company did not specify which new monsters would be in this second episode.

However, Ogerpon (left) and Terapagos (right) are two new legendary creatures The Hidden Treasures of Ground Zero. Newer Pokémon will also join the 230 familiar ones. These include Chingling, Shiftry, Milotic, Yanma, Vikavolt, Ninetales, Alcremie, Zebstrika, Whimsicott, Metagross, Dewgong, and Espurr, just to name a few.
Those who pre-order the DLC before October 31st will get some early unlocks right now Scarlett and Violet. This includes Hisuia’s Zoroark and a bunch of skins, as seen in the gallery above, that differ between the two versions. Zoroark cannot be obtained normally and is a Dark Terra type, knows the “Happy Hour” move, and has a charismatic sign that further reveals its unique features.
The Pokémon Company also talked about other upcoming features Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. Terra Raid Battles features a new pair of Paradox Pokémon: the Water and Dragon-type Walking Wake and the Grass- and Psychic-type Walking Wake, based on Virizion and Suicune, respectively.
Players can now also send postcards from the destination Pokémon Go For Switch games and Vivillon’s wings change according to the location date on the card. Those inside Pokémon Go those who sent postcards can also get a Roaming Form Gimmighoul so they can get coins to evolve it in Gholdengo. Home of Pokémon support is also coming Scarlett and Violet in early 2023, when users will be able to transfer their Pokémon to this latest release.
Some users noted the lack of actual gameplay in this reveal, which has been a potentially worrying sign ever since Scarlett and Violet they were widely criticized for their rampant technical flaws. Digital Foundry said it had “obvious technical issues” and “Should not be sold in this condition.” Nintendo apologized in December 2022 of these issues and promised that it would be “working on improvements to the games”. This latest update that came with the show also has some fixes, but it remains to be seen how much it actually does.
