Lance Reddick Voiced Hellboy in Upcoming Game


Actor Lance Reddick passed away recently and left his mark on many shows such as Yarn and movies like John Wick and its three sequels. However, he is also known for his video game roles, such as Zavala Fate 2 and Inside my lap Horizon series. However, there is at least one more game planned for him in which he plays the main role: Hellboy Web of Wyrd.

Hellboy creator Mike Mignola tweeted about it in response to the actor’s untimely death, noting that Reddick was “such a nice guy.” He recalled meeting him a few weeks earlier when Reddick was set to voice Hellboy “for a new computer game.”

Although he doesn’t say it outright, he’s talking about a third-person roguelite Hellboy Web of Wyrdwhich was revealed at The Game Awards in December 2022. Reddick can clearly be heard saying just three words in the reveal trailer – “Me? I’m angry,” but developer Upstream Arcade didn’t promote Reddick’s involvement at the time.

However, the game’s Twitter account did Retweet a tweet from Dark Horse Comics offered condolences to the Reddick family, then released a statement saying, “Our hearts go out to Lance’s family, friends, colleagues and fans. Lance was a great performer, generous with his time and attention—he had an unparalleled talent, and we continue to be honored to have him Our Hellboy.
