Hogwarts Legacy Has ‘No Current Plans for DLC’ Despite Success

Despite the huge sales success, Hogwarts Legacy — which was released on February 10 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC — according to the developer, it currently has no plans for DLC.

During the interview IGN’s Fan Festival, game director Alan Tew said that there is currently no DLC in the works for the game. The reason for this is also quite simple, as Tew stated that the team had simply been too busy preparing for the release of the game itself that they didn’t have much time to focus on the expansion.

“We’ve really got our heads down [Hogwarts Legacy] to life,” said Tew. “So there are currently no plans for DLC.”

Before publishing Hogwarts Legacy went through several delays before a 2023 release. After the game was officially unveiled in 2020, it was originally scheduled for release in 2021. However, it was pushed back twice, once to 2022 and then again to a final release date of February 2023.

With that in mind, it’s not too shocking to hear that the game has no DLC for now, although that could certainly change in the future.
