Hogwarts Legacy Delayed on PS4 & Xbox One


Hogwarts Legacy released for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC in February, but that was only the first wave of its release. The game is still coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One and Switch a little later. However, this second wave has been delayed only slightly, as the PS4 and Xbox One versions have been pushed back to May 5th.

The game’s official Twitter account noted the delay and gave a succinct response to the team wanting to “provide the best possible experience on all platforms.” These two ports were previously announced for April 4, so the delay is just over a month. Avalanche software revealed that the game will be released in stages in December 2022. The Switch version is also currently on July 25th.

Avalanche has yet to detail these versions, which may be a concern, especially given the last-gen performance of other oft-delayed games. Cyberpunk 2077.
