The next season of Fortnite, Chapter 4 – Season 2, is called Mega, according to Twitter hashtags and artwork.
The name of the new season was revealed on Twitter HYPEXwho shared the name and an image with graffiti-style katakana characters reading “mega” and the hashtags #FortniteMEGA and #GoToMEGA also showing the image.
Along with fellow leaker ShiinaBR, the ever-accurate leaker has revealed plenty of information about the upcoming season of Epic Games’ extremely popular Battle Royale shooter.
According to HYPEX, Fortnite Chapter 4 – Season 2 will feature a Neo-Tokyo aesthetic, futuristic cities, and Japanese-style designs on the island map. The season includes a selection of new weapons, including a katana, and new mechanics like transport tubes that you can slide into while holding a weapon.
Teaser photos of the new season have also been shared, which fit the depicted theme.
HYPEX and ShiinaBR have previously claimed that an Attack on Titan x Fortnite crossover arrives in Chapter 4 Season 2. It introduces Eren’s Yaeger skin.
If recent leaks are to be believed, this could be one of Fortnite’s most exciting seasons for some time. It was recently claimed that first-person mode was also coming to Chapter 4 Season 2. According to leaks, this is an optional switch that can be turned on or off with the press of a button.
