For the King 2 trailer shows off some of the sequel’s new features


publisher Curve Digital and developer IronOak Games have released a new trailer for For the King 2.

The adventure below showcases some of the new features introduced in the sequel to the turn-based RPG inspired by tabletop adventures.

Set 20 years after For the King, players battle Fahrul’s tyrannical Queen alone or in a party of four.

New features include “landcraft” that allow players to travel together in the overworld, and the ability to recruit characters and animals for parties.

The Scourge system from the original game also returns, and the trailer introduces the newly imagined Hangman.

“For The King II offers brand new combat mechanics and features, a host of new biomes to explore, beautiful gameplay that allows fans to start a single-player experience or play in online and co-op with up to four players, an updated art style, new weapons and enemies to conquer – and more” , according to Curve.

“From an incredible amount of character and item combinations to procedurally generated maps, quests, loot and events – the world of Fahrul is constantly changing and keeps players on their toes.”

For the King 2 will be released via Steam This year. After an early access period, its predecessor was released in full on Steam in April 2018 before it came Xbox One, PS4 and Nintendo Switch a year later.
