FIFA’s president has reiterated his plans to create a new series of football games that is better than EAseries.
FIFA parted ways with its partner EA after almost 30 years FIFA 23 being the last EA Sports a game with the FIFA brand in its name.
This year, EA will rebrand its league as EA Sports FC, claiming it will usher in a “new era in July 2023.”
However, FIFA president Gianni Infantino believes that the next series called FIFA will set a new standard for soccer games.
Chief Sports Editor of The Times Martin Ziegler says that in his victory speech after that his re-election as FIFA presidentInfantino announced that the association will release a rival video game for EA Sports FC.
“The new FIFA game – FIFA 25, 26, 27 and so on – will always be the best e-game for any girl or boy,” Infantino said, adding: “We will have news about this very soon.”
It’s not clear if Infantino’s comments, if quoted accurately, mean that FIFA is targeting a 2024 release for its first game to coincide with EA Sports FC 25.
In a strongly worded statement In May 2022, Infantino insisted that only games with an official FIFA license would be credible to soccer fans.
“I can assure you that the only genuine, real game with the FIFA name is the best game available for players and football fans,” he said at the time.
“The FIFA name is the only global original title. FIFA 23, FIFA 24, FIFA 25 and FIFA 26 and so on – the standard is the FIFA name and it will remain forever and remain the BEST.”
In November 2022, FIFA announced that the first games to use its brand after its partnership with EA ended. there would be four Web 3.0 blockchain titles.
VGCs FIFA 23 review said: “EA improves on its predecessor tenfold and delivers the best football game yet again.
“The new powers, revamped league system and women’s Club Teams are welcome, but anyone expecting big changes will want to hope EA Sports FC 24 delivers.”
