11 minutes of game footage from the target The Bloober Team‘s Layers of Fear remake has been released.
The gameplay trailer below features Writer, a newly revealed game character who explores a confusing lighthouse.
“As a writer, enter a lonely and terrifying lighthouse—a newly introduced location—and uncover the untold story that ties all the characters and events of Layers together,” reads the description of the new footage.
“Unravel secrets, solve puzzles and face the old manor’s threats that can only be solved with a lantern – a new and essential tool to face the game’s nightmares”

Layers of Fear is developed by Bloober Team and Anshar Studios. The game is a remake of the original Layers of Fear and also includes content from the Layers of Fear Inheritance DLC and Layers of Fear 2, all rebuilt in Unreal Engine 5.
It will be published PS5, Xbox Series X/Sand Windows PC in June 2023.
“We’re bringing back a franchise that’s really special to us, in a new format that gives players a really fresh gaming experience and that illuminates the whole story,” said Bloober Team CEO Piotr Babieno. when the game was announced last year.
“Our plan was to recreate the games, but we didn’t want to make it a simple collection of two remastered games. We have developed a new approach, which may not be obvious yet. But I can tell you there’s a reason we called it Layers of Fear.
Bloober Team is also currently working on a A remake of Konami’s Silent Hill 2.
