Recently, 50 Cent posted not one but one on Instagram two pictures suggesting that he was directly involved in the production of a movie called “Vice City.” In those posts, he used images culled from Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, leading the gaming community to wildly believe that he was possibly connected to GTA 6, which is supposed to be set in Vice City.
Since then, messages have been deleted, and Deadline has confirmed that Fiddy is, in fact, directly attached to produce an all-new original television series called — you guessed it — Vice City . However, it is not related to Grand Theft Auto, although it shares many similarities with the 2002 open-world epic.

Unfortunately, this revelation by Deadline means that there is no more news about GTA 6. outside of massive leaks it happened last year. For a while, fans went wild trying to figure out what role 50 Cent would play in the development of GTA 6, with everything from music licensing to a direct role in the game being suggested.
In the revelation of Deadlineit was explained that Paramount+, Lionsgate Entertainment, and Paramount Television Studios are teaming up with 50 Cent (and his associated brands) for an all-new project called Vice City.
This is reportedly a project that comes from the creative minds of Transformers and John Wick, and according to 50 Cent himself (before they were removed), it will be more influential than Power, the hit 50s series that ran for six seasons.
Right now, Vice City is a working title, but there’s already a synopsis, which Deadline highlighted:
“Vice City follows three friends and a former soldier who return to their hometown of Miami in the mid-80s after being dishonorably discharged from the military for their involvement in the Iran Contra scandal. Disgraced, homeless and forgotten by their service, three friends team up with a mysterious Colombian immigrant and combine their financial needs and criminal aspirations to form a robbery gang. Fueled by America’s need for green, they take a violent and dangerous path in pursuit of the American dream.”
There are clear similarities between both Vice City and GTA: Vice City, even though the two projects are unrelated.
So, that’s great for fans of 50 Cent’s television productions, but it’s a confirmation that leaves GTA fans still wanting more information. Recently an insider suggested it GTA 6 will be released in 2024but this is the latest rumor about the game.
